Clark was revealed as the buyer of the 40-foot-wide mansion at 125 East 70th Street in October, but the price was not known. The sellers, Irish businessman Tony White and his wife, Clare, bought the home for $22.5 million in 2006. The couple initially sought $46 million when the pad was first listed in 2013, the New York Post reported. However, before going into contract, the property was most recently listed for $41 million by Louise Beit of Sotheby’s International Realty.

Clark has been dubbed the “comeback billionaire” for betting on Apple. He made his money with his Netscape concept in 1994. Recently, he bought director Ron Howard’s $27.5 million Westchester home.

The 1965 mansion has eight bedrooms, a wine cellar, elevator and a courtyard designed by Bunny Mellon herself. Mellon, a Listerine heiress, died last March at the age of 103. [NYP] — Tess Hofmann
