After opening its first U.S. boutique last month in Los Angeles, Italian luxury fashion house Moschino is expanding its stateside operation to New York City with plans for a Soho storefront.

Moschino signed a lease for a 3,700-square-foot space at 73 Wooster Street between Broome and Spring streets and plans to open in the spring. Terms of the lease were not disclosed. The building was originally built as a four-story garage in 1929, Fashion Times reported. The retail concept, which was conceived by creative director Jeremy Scott, will match the Los Angeles location.

Epic Realty Trust purchased the building from Vornado Realty Trust in 2012 for $15 million.

The company has plans to open stores in Berlin, Tokyo, Madrid, Miami and Seoul, and is also set to revamp its 13 directly operated stores and 150 franchise shop-in-shop locations at Selfridges, Colette, 10 Corso Como and Opening Ceremony. [Fashion Times] — Tess Hofmann
