Nobu, one of the city’s most iconic restaurants, will move out of its longtime Tribeca home by early 2017.

Nobu will open a 14,384-square-foot new location at 195 Broadway, according to the New York Post. The restaurant will also occupy a ground-floor space on the Fulton Street side and part of the lower level, the newspaper reported. L&L Holding and JP Morgan Investment Management own the building.

Asking rents at the two vacant retail spaces at 195 Broadway are between $500 and $600 per square foot, the newspaper reported.

“We always believed that 195 Broadway and northwestern downtown would commingle with Tribeca,” L&L founder David Levinson told the newspaper. “With the move of an original Tribeca icon, Nobu, to 195, we have realized our vision.”

Nobu, as well as sister restaurant Nobu Next Door, currently takes up 9,000 square feet at 105 Hudson Street. The restaurants will operate from there through 2016. [NYP] — Claire Moses
