Estée Lauder has inked a lease for an additional 100,000 square feet at 28-40 West 23rd Street.
The cosmetics company’s Aramis and Designer Fragrance division as well as the digital and social media workers will occupy a total of 166,000 square feet with the new addition in the cast-iron building that houses Home Depot on the ground floor, the New York Post reported. The building, which counts AppNexus and BuzzFeed among its tenants, is owned by the Cohen, Roos and Carmel families.
Aramis is currently located on the third floor and will expand into the sixth through ninth floors, according to the newspaper. Asking rents in the building are between $69 and $75 per square foot.
CBRE’s Sacha Zarba and Greg Tosko represented Esteée Lauder. Colliers International’s Andrew Roos represented the building. [NYP, 3rd] — Claire Moses
