UPDATED, Feb. 20, 3:31 p.m.: Mark Geragos, attorney to the likes of Mike Tyson and P. Diddy and a dabbler in New York real estate, snapped up the famed Capri Hotel in Southampton for $4.7 million from a trio of hotel investors.
The 30-room hotel at 281 County Road is a favorite among celebrities including Robert De Niro and Howard Stern. BLT Steakhouse and Nobu have both formerly occupied the restaurant space.
Geragos’ clients include Sean “Diddy” Combs, Chris Brown, Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson. In December, he picked up a five-story building at 7 West 24th Street in Flatiron for $9.5 million, and is planning a larger residential development on the property.
The sellers, who listed the hotel in August for $5.2 million, included Steven Kamali, the former owner of Montauk’s Surf Lodge, and W South Beach owners David Edelstein and Jackie Mansfield. They previously had the hotel on the market as part of a package of three.
Tina Glandian, an attorney at Geragos’ firm and an investor in the Capri Hotel, represented him in the transaction. Tony Cerio, Mitch Natter, and Jared Schiavoni of Brown Harris Stevens represented the sellers.
