A new redevelopment proposal for Thor Equities’ Revere Sugar Refinery in Red Hook is the biggest yet for the site.
Magnusson Architecture and Planning recently put together a feasibility study for the site. The resulting plan calls for a 1.7-million square-foot mixed-use development, including 900 apartments, 250,000 square feet of retail and 400,000 square feet of parking on the former factory’s footprint, according to Curbed.
The renderings by MAP show a multi-level commercial complex, plus six 12-story residential buildings surrounding a roof-deck. According to 6sqft, which first spotted the plans, the development might even include a marina.
