The sprawling Soho loft where Mark Madoff committed suicide in 2010 is on the market for $9 million.
The three-bedroom apartment at 158 Mercer Street includes two bathrooms, a wall of windows and a wood-burning fireplace, according to the New York Daily News. Mark Madoff, Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff’s eldest son, bought the apartment for $6 million in 2005, the newspaper reported.
Sotheby’s International Realty’s Stephen McRae and Debbie Korb have the listing.
The 4,169-square-foot apartment was formerly up for rent for roughly $35,000 per month.
Jon Bon Jovi and Arianna Huffington are among the high profile residents who once lived in the building, the newspaper reported. [NYDN] — Claire Moses
