James Corcoran, Town Residential’s controller, left the company after less than a year on the job.
Corcoran gave notice several weeks ago and his last day was Wednesday, sources said.
Corcoran joined Town in June 2014, replacing Shaun Klein, who was Town’s controller from 2011 to 2014. Corcoran was previously the controller at Weichert Corporate Housing and Premier Relocation Solutions.
A spokesperson for Town said the brokerage’s finance department is run by Michael Schurer, who is also chief financial officer of Joseph Sitt’s Thor Equities. Sitt is also co-chair of Town.
“James was appreciated and he was valued while he was at Town and we wish him all the best,” the spokesperson said. “The CFO position [of the company] is held by Michael Schurer and it has not changed.” Town has identified a replacement for Corcoran, the spokesperson added, but declined to elaborate.
Town claims it sold $1.8 billion worth of real estate in 2014. In February, the firm, led by CEO Andrew Heiberger, announced a new partnership with Fortune International Group, a major brokerage and development firm in Miami.
