A French estate that once belonged to Revolutionary War hero Marquis de Lafayette has hit the market.
The 12.4-acre estate and chateau located in Central France near the town of Loches is asking $2 million, according to Curbed.
The 32,000-square-foot stone building boasts 11 bedrooms, with an eight-room guesthouse also on the property. And of course it features all the period details one might expect — beamed ceilings, marble floors and stone staircases.
