A new tenant has inked a lease at the newly renovated 180 Maiden Lane.
Clarion Partners and MHP Real Estate Services spent $28 million on renovating the office tower in the Financial District, the Wall Street Journal reported. Reinsurance broker the Holborn Company — currently located at 88 Pine Street — signed on for 25,000 square feet on the sixth floor of the building, according to the newspaper.
The tower changed hands for $450 per square foot in September 2014, when SL Green sold it.
A Cushman & Wakefield team led by Tara Stacom represented the landlords together with the MHP leasing team. Asking rents in the building are between $50 and $70 per square foot.
The renovations on the 1.1 million-square-foot tower included the addition of a gym, upgrades to The Public Plaza and a new conference center. [WSJ, 2nd] — Claire Moses
