William Gottlieb Real Estate’s Neil Bender and Aurora Capital Associates are partnering in a joint venture to develop Gansevoort Row, a nine-building retail strip in the Meatpacking District.
The stretch of old buildings from 48-74 Gansevoort Street between Greenwich and Washington streets will undergo tens of millions in renovations and support twelve retailers when finished in January 2016, the New York Post reported.
Restaurateur Keith McNally is reportedly negotiating to reopen his restaurant Pastis, which previously lost its space in another Gottlieb-Aurora joint venture at 9 Ninth Avenue, where a massive Restoration Hardware is currently being built.
BKSK Architects is slated to Oversee The Gansevoort Street renovations.
Gottlieb and Aurora have partnered on multiple projects including the Studio Gang Architects-designed Solar Carve office building at 40 Tenth Avenue, as well as 21-27 Ninth Avenue, another Meatpacking retail development that houses Sephora and Catch NYC. [NYP] — Tess Hofmann
