A New York City-based Cushman & Wakefield executive was identified as one of the eight killed in the Amtrak train derailment in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Laura Finamore, 47, was a senior account director at the firm.
In a statement, relatives described her as a generous, funny person and said they were “profoundly saddened by her untimely passing,” according to the New York Post.
“Laura’s smile could light up a room and her infectious laughter will be remembered by many for years to come,” said the statement. “She was always there when you needed her – with a hug, encouraging words or a pat on the back.”
A Queens native, she graduated from Benjamin Cardozo High School and studied literature at George Washington University.
Finamore leaves behind her parents, three brothers and seven nieces and nephews. [NYP] — Tess Hofmann
