Renderings for Extell Development’s new residential project at 250 South Street in Lower Manhattan have been released.
The 940,000-square-foot building will rise on the site of an old Pathmark supermarket near FDR Drive and the East River in the Two Bridges neighborhood. The development features 646 residential units across 914,000 square feet, with a commercial retail space located on the ground floor.
While the building was initially slated to be 68 stories, plans were downsized to 56 floors on the latest Department of Buildings filings, according to New York YIMBY. The tower will stand 700 feet tall.
The new renderings depict a glassy design for the project featuring a motor court at the entrance, an indoor poor and an elaborate amenity room. [NY YIMBY] — Rey Mashayekhi
