The second week of May saw 38 signed contracts for $4 million or more, according to the latest Olshan Realty luxury market report.
Four townhouses were sold, nine co-ops and 25 condos.
The biggest sale of the week was a duplex at 895 Park Avenue at 79th Street for $18 million. The three-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom co-op had been listed in late April. The pad also includes three planting terraces, a paneled library and a dining room. It was last sold for $12.7 million in 2005.
Unit 607 at 1 Central Park South was the week’s second biggest contract, with $15 million. This Plaza Hotel condo, which spans 2,248 square feet, includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The unit, which has views over Central Park, was last sold for $13 million in 2011. [Olshan Realty] — Claire Moses
