Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev’s $88 million penthouse at 15 Central Park West is staying off the market after the billionaire reached an agreement in divorce proceedings with his ex-wife Elena.
Elena Rybolovleva had sued her ex-husband in Manhattan Supreme Court over the 10-bedroom unit at 15 Central Park West, but the two sides agreed Tuesday to stay the action as the oligarch appeals a Swiss court’s ruling that he pay a $4.5 billion divorce settlement.
The agreement states that during the stay of action, both Rybolovlev and the penthouse’s property LLC agree not to “take any action… to sell, convey, transfer or otherwise encumber [the property],” according to the New York Post.
The deal also states that Rybolovlev is not admitting to ownership of the property. He reportedly bought the penthouse in 2011 for his daughter Ekaterina, who was attending college in the U.S. at the time.
The $88 million transaction was eclipsed late last year by the closing of a $101 million penthouse purchase at Extell Development’s One57 residential skyscraper. [NYP] — Rey Mashayekhi
