It’s official: Chargrilled burgers and chicken liver toast are coming to the top of 70 Pine Street.
Spotted Pig owners April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman, who are also behind the Breslin and the John Dory, signed a deal to open a four-level restaurant at the top of the former AIG tower, the New York Post reported. The space has laid vacant for multiple years.
The restaurant will take up 7,500 square feet of indoor space on the 62nd, 63rd, 64th and 66th floors. The new dining complex will also include 2,500 square foot of outdoor dining space. Bloomfield and Friedman are also planning to open a 1,000-square-foot bar on the ground floor of the building, which could double as a classy neighborhood bar and a place to grab a drink for those who are waiting for a table upstairs. The 66th floor will mostly be used for private events, according to the newspaper.
The restaurant hasn’t yet been named.
