UPDATED: June 5, 2:54 p.m.: French-born financier Raymond Svider has been revealed as the buyer of the $32 million penthouse at Macklowe Properties’ 737 Park Avenue.

Svider is the co-chair and co-managing partner of investment firm BC Partners, the New York Post reported.

The purchase hit city records on Wednesday and marked the second-priciest penthouse sale ever on Park Avenue, but the buyer was initially shielded by an LLC.

The penthouse is a 12,000-square-foot unit, including 6,000 square feet of outdoor space, in Macklowe’s 60-unit building.

Hilary Landis and Danielle Pessis of the Corcoran Group handled the sale for Macklowe, while the Modlin Group’s Adam Modlin represented the buyer.

In 2013, Svider purchased a $14.4 million home on Bay Lane in Water Mill. [NYP] — Tess Hofmann
