Following its decision to consolidate all of its New York City offices in its namesake tower at 200 Park Avenue South, MetLife is looking to sublet 400,000 square feet in 3 Bryant Park.

The building, also known as 1095 Sixth Aveneu, was purchased by Ivanhoé Cambridge and partner Callahan Capital for $2.2 billion earlier this year, and contains 1.2 million square feet total.

Metlife hopes to sublet floors 13 to 20, 23, and 39 to 41 along with a private ground-floor lobby across from Bryant Park, the New York Post reported.

The insurer will move to 500,000 total square feet in 200 Park Avenue South in 2017.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Bruce Mosler, John Cefaly, Robert Lowe and Ethan Silverstein are marketing the Bryant Park spot.

“There is an opportunity for great branding and we will command top rents,” said Mosler. [NYP] — Tess Hofmann
