The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will open a new facility in Downtown Manhattan after signing a 15-year lease at 255 Greenwich Street in the Financial District.
The medical school plans to move into the 14,600-square-foot space by the end of the year. The 600,000-square-foot building, Located Between Park Place And Murray Street, will house the school’s Executive Health and Wellness Center on part of the fifth floor.
Asking rent at 255 Greenwich is $60 per square foot, according to the New York Observer. Brett Greenberg and Dennis Brady represented landlord Jack Resnick & Sons in-house, while Cushman & Wakefield’s Jonathan Serko and Frank Cento represented the Icahn School.
Other tenants in the building, formerly known as 75 Park Place, include the Borough of Manhattan Community College and various city administrative offices.
The Icahn School, located at 1428 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side, has incentivized physicians in the past through providing large, interest-free residential mortgages. [NYO] – Rey Mashayekhi
