Republic Clothing Group is taking more than 50,000 square feet at Ivahoe Cambridge’s 1411 Broadway office building near Times Square.
The clothing company is subleasing the space from Nine West Holdings, which will still have roughly 400,000 square feet of space in the 40-story office tower. Republic will move from its 59,000 square feet at New York REIT’s Nearby 1440 Broadway office building by the end of the year.
The sublease ends 2027. Republic’s space on the tower’s 36th and 37th floors features 360-degree views down to One World Trade Center, according to the New York Post. Asking rents in the building’s top floors are in the upper $70s per square foot.
A Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team of Brian Waterman, Lance Korman and Brent Ozarowski represented the tenant, while a JLL team of Frank Doyle, Amanda Bokman, David Kleiner and Clark Finney represented Nine West.
A CBRE team led by Paul Amrich represented Ivanhoe Cambridge, which acquired its managing interest in 1411 Broadway for $360 million in 2012. [NYP, 3rd] – Rey Mashayekhi
