Cobble Hill townhouse is priciest home to ever sell in borough, at $15.5 million

A four-story Cobble Hill townhouse that sold for $15.5 million wasn’t just the priciest single-family home sale recorded in June – it’s also highest-priced one ever sold in Brooklyn, according to PropertyShark.

The amenities at the 10,000-square-foot carriage house at 177 Pacific Street include six bedrooms, a 20-seat movie theater, four fireplaces, four parking spots and a rooftop garden. The sale easily bests the $12.5 million Truman Capote’s one-time home at 70 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights grabbed in 2012.

The next four priciest homes to sell in June are all townhouses, including a four-story Brooklyn Heights building at 36 Garden Place ($7.8 million) and a three-story Fort Greene property at 16 South Portland Avenue ($5 million). In fourth place, a brand new four-story property at 173 Water Street, part of the five-building Dumbo Townhouses developed by Alloy Development, sold for $4.5 million.

Rounding out the top five in Brooklyn was a three-bedroom, 3,860-square-foot brick townhouse at 598 2nd Street in Park Slope that went for $4.45 million.

QUEENS

Over in Queens, a two-story, detached house in south Astoria was the borough’s priciest residential home sale recorded in June, at $2.4 million, PropertyShark data shows.

The 1,350-square-foot property at 30-13 31st Street dates back to 1910.

In second place, a seventh-floor condominium unit at Arris Lofts at 27-28 Thompson Avenue in Long Island changed hands for $2.2 million.

The next three properties are two-story, detached homes in Forest Hills – at 112-06 71st Road ($2.1 million), 110-26 68th Road ($1.95 million) and 110-41 68th Road ($1.9 million).
