A new batch of renderings for Related Cos. and Oxford Property Group’s mixed-use tower at 35 Hudson Yards show that a design seems to be solidifying after having gone through multiple iterations.
The 1,000-foot, 72-story tower will hold condos, a hotel and an Equinox gym, New York YIMBY reported. It will be the second supertall tower to rise as part of the megadevelopment, behind 30 Hudson Yards.
David Childs and SOM are designing the building, which despite being a supertall will be dwarfed by its neighbors. The tower at 30 Hudson Yards is slated to stand 1,269 feet tall, while 3 Hudson Boulevard will be approximately 1,050 feet.
The tower is expected to be completed in 2018 or 2019.
In January, the developers filed permits for the project, calling for 217 hotel rooms and 135 condos. [NY YIMBY] — Tess Hofmann
