During a brief respite from insulting people and topping national GOP polls, flamboyant developer Donald Trump sold his 6,200-square-foot penthouse at Trump Park Avenue.

The five-bedroom, seven bathroom penthouse, on the 24th floor of 502 Park Avenue, at 59th Street, went for $21 million. It was originally listed for $35 million in 2013, and most recently for $24.99 million.

Trump rejected an offer to rent the space for $80,000, according to his agent, Michelle Griffith of Trump International Realty, the Wall Street Journal reported. He never occupied the residence, Griffith said.

The buyers’ agents, Alatia Bradley Bach and Leighton Candler of Corcoran Group, declined to name their clients, but Griffith described them as a couple residing in the U.S., and owning multiple homes in the country.

The presidential candidate has boasted of a net worth north of $10 billion, but a recent analysis by Bloomberg pegs the number at $2.9 billion. The Real Deal assessed his net worth back in 2013 and found it similarly inflated. [WSJ] – Ariel Stulberg
