When Rocco Vogel bought a $10.5 million Soho penthouse last year, he didn’t realize that “excessive” partying was one of the amenities.
Vogel is now suing Mediterranean restaurant Pera, located on the building’s ground floor, for $1.5 million, according to the New York Post. The suit claims that the restaurant illegally uses the rooftop, which is a development that happened after Vogel bought his place. He is also suing Empire Management, the condominium’s managing agent.
The disgruntled resident at 54 Thompson Street also claims that intoxicated restaurant guests have been in the elevator with him and tried to exit at his apartment, which caused “fear and apprehension,” the newspaper reported.
Pera’s patrons also “regularly spill drinks and discard trash in the elevator, causing unsightly and unsanitary conditions,” the suit cited by the Post claims. [NYP] — Claire Moses
