Whether it’s fashion or real estate, the Gucci name is synonymous with high style, high quality and high price.
The sisters Gucci – Alessandra and Allegra – following in that grand tradition, are listing their deluxe, duplex penthouse at the Olympic Tower for $45 million, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The 9,500-square-foot apartment on the 50th and 51st floors of the tower, at 641 Fifth Avenue between East 51st and East 52nd streets, is chock-a-block with amenities. Combining two previously existing units, the pad features two of everything: kitchens, elevators and wood burning fireplaces.
Alessandra and Allegra are the great-granddaughters of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci, who bought the apartment in the 1970s.
The apartment was listed for rent in 2010, asking an impressive $60,000 a month. A tenant currently occupies it, according to listing agent Daniela V. Rivoir of Brown Harris Stevens. [WSJ] – Ariel Stulberg
