Fashion retailer Nine West sealed two subleases with garment companies for more than 102,000 square feet at Ivanhoe Cambridge’s 1411 Broadway office building near Times Square.
Basic Resources is taking more than 57,000 square feet on the 40-story tower’s entire second floor and part of its third floor, moving from its location at Charles Ishay and the Oved Group’s 31 West 34th Street.
Nine West is subleasing 1411 Broadway’s fourth floor, comprising 45,000 square feet of space, to Authentic Brands Group. The company is moving from Vornado Realty Trust’s 100 West 33rd Street, according to the New York Post.
Michael Beyda of Benchmark Properties represented both tenants, with Nine West repped by a JLL team of Clark Finney, Frank Doyle, Amanda Bokman, David Kleiner and Kevin West.
Nine West previously subleased 50,000 square feet at 1411 Broadway to Republic Clothing Group earlier this year. Ivanhoe Cambridge acquired a managing interest in the building, which it owns in a joint venture with the Swig Company, from the Blackstone Group for $360 million in 2012. [NYP] – Rey Mashayekhi
