Somewhere, a very hip person is patting him or herself on the back, thinking about how he or she is going to spend $6.5 million on a Williamsburg penthouse before it’s cool.
A six-bedroom pad at Chinese development firm Xinyuan Real Estate’s Oosten building at 429 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg is in contract for that amount, a neighborhood record, according to the New York Post.
The 5,000-square-foot unit, PH3, one of four penthouses in the building, features a jacuzzi and 1,500 square feet of outdoor space. The most jet-lag-inducing amenity, though, is an “expenses-paid” trip to Amsterdam to meet with the building’s interior designer, Piet Boon.
Those are going to be some expensive ironic throw pillows.
