Christopher Meloni’s former “Law & Order: SVU” character, detective Elliot Stabler, should investigate why it took the actor so long to sell his Midtown apartment.
Meloni and his wife Sherman Williams finally found a buyer for their 3,000 square foot four-bedroom condominium unit at 230 West 56th Street in Midtown. The unit is contract for $9 million after spending three long years on the market.
Listing broker Brian Lewis of Halstead Property called the building, also home to hip-hop producer Diddy and New Age guru Deepak Chopra, “Billionaires’ Row’s best value,” the New York Daily News reported.
The actor, who also appeared on “Veep” and in “Wet Hot American Summer” and its recent Netflix revival, bought the pad for $5.5 million in 2005. He originally listed it for $12 million in 2012, then lowered the price in June. [NYDN] – Ariel Stulberg
