Sean Ludwick, accused of drunkenly crashing his Porsche and leaving his friend to die, killed time at his court appearance in the Hamptons on Friday by counting fat stacks of cash.

Appearing at court in Southampton on charges of DWI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident, Ludwick counted and folded stacks of money for several minutes as the enraged family of Paul Hansen looked on.

“We have come to expect nothing from Mr. Ludwick,” Tom Morrisey, Hansen’s brother-in-law, told the New York Post, which reported on his money-counting appearance. “No humanity. No courtesy for human life.”

The BlackHouse Development co-founder was drinking with Hansen, a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman, at the 230 bar in Southampton in the early morning hours of Aug. 30. After unsuccessfully courting a blonde Morgan Stanley employee, the playboy developer drove Hansen back to his Sag Harbor home, the tabloid reported.

Ludwick allegedly struck a utility pole near Hansen’s home, killing his Hansen. Officers found Ludwick down the street, standing next to his damaged car, glassy-eyed and wobbly, according to police reports.

Law enforcement sources told the Post that Ludwick had dragged Hansen’s partially-ejected body from his Porsche and threw his wallet in the woods after the crash.

Ludwick’s lawyer said his client is “distraught” over the accident. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 29. [NYP] — James Kleimann
