Nordstrom Rack is looking at a Central Park location just a block away from the future home of its sister store in Extell Development’s under-construction Nordstrom Tower.
The outlet store is looking at 40,000-square-foot space on the ground, first and second floors of SL Green Realty’s 3 Columbus Circle, home of ad agency Young & Rubicam.
The Rack hopes to make its home in the southeast corner of the building, a space currently occupied by a Bank of America branch, the New York Post reported.
The Winick Realty Group is marketing the space.
Extell Developments’ Nordstrom Tower at 225 West 57th, slated to open in 2019, will be home to a seven-level Nordstrom store.
The Rack has also visited locations on West 34th Street, including at 112 West 34th Street, owned by the Empire State Realty Trust.
The outlet chain current operates five stories in the city, including at 60 East 14th Street in Union Square. [NYP, second item] – Ariel Stulberg
