Beastie Boy Mike D’s work appears to have paid off, at least when it comes to his Cobble Hill townhouse.
The five-bedroom home at 148 Baltic Street was the top sale in Brooklyn last month, selling for $5.5 million, according to data provided by PropertyShark. The Beastie Boy’s founding member and his wife, Tamra Davis, did a massive makeover of the home after buying it in 2011 for just over $3 million.
Two units in Schaefer Landing in Williamsburg came in as the second-highest September sales in the borough with a price tag of $5.2 million. Next on the list was a Sackett Union townhouse, at 294a Sackett Street #2, for $4.55 million. The fourth and fifth most expensive sales were on Ocean Parkway in Midwood. The homes at 905 and 953 Ocean Parkway were priced at $4.1 million and $4 million, respectively.

QUEENS SALES
Though not star-studded, a Long Island City home was the priciest residential sale recorded in Queens in September, according to PropertyShark. The three-story home, located at 36-33 31st Street, sold for $2.7 million and spans 2,639 square feet.
The second largest residential sale was 44 Seasongood Road in Forest Hills Gardens. The five-bedroom home sold for $2.3 million. Tied for the third priciest sale was a five-bedroom home at 99 Malba Drive and a condo — 46-30 Center Boulevard #1001 — at The View at East Coast in Hunters Point, both of which were scooped up at $2.2 million.
Next up, a renovated Tudor at 51 Summer Street in Forest Hills Gardens was purchased for $1.9 million. A close fifth was another Forest Hills Gardens home at 110 Continental Avenue, which sold for $1.86 million.
