Health-centric developer Delos Living has signed on to be the first tenant at Romanoff Equities and Property Group Partners’ new mixed-use office and retail project in the Meatpacking District.
Delos, the company behind Vitamin C-infused showers and circadian lighting, is planning to use the new headquarters space to showcase its WELL Building Standard, a certification program developed by the company that focuses on tenants’ health and wellness.
Romanoff and Property Group Partners are asking for rents of $140 to $200 per square foot at the 120,000-square foot building, a record for the neighborhood, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Delos will take two floors — a total of 22,000 square feet — in the 10-story, James Carptenter-designed building adjacent to the High Line.
Delos will leave its current office at 22 Little West 12th Street.
The project at 860 Washington Street represents Property Group Partners’ re-entry into the Manhattan market. The firm, then known as the Louis Dreyfus Property Group, last made noise in early 2012 when it sold 148 Lafayette Street for $130 million.
The firm found a logical partner in Romanoff, a multi-generational real estate company with holdings throughout the Meatpacking District. Romanoff is also developing a five-story office building at 402 West 13th Street. [WSJ] – Ariel Stulberg
Clarification: Delos installs Vitamin C-infused showers in residential units, but the component is not part of the WELL Building Standard.
