An Upper East Side apartment renovated by designer and noted “leather daddy” Peter Marino has hit the market asking $65 million.
The third-floor co-op at the J.E.R. Carpenter-designed building at 845 Fifth Avenue includes five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Peter Marino — who has been called “the leather daddy of luxury” for his bondage-influenced personal style and work for brands like Christian Dior, Fendi and Louis Vuitton — recently gave the unit some personal attention, adding a classic yet “subtly edgy” feel, according to the New York Post.
The unit features three entertaining rooms with 12-foot ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces and his and hers marble bathrooms.
Noteworthy residents in the 11-story limestone building have included Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and hedge funder Daniel Nir.
