New renderings are out for China Cinda and Aby Rosen’s luxury condo development at 100 East 53rd Street in Midtown, and the project – designed by British starchitect Norman Foster’s Foster + Partners – sure is awash in luxury.
The 63-story skyscraper — located between Park and Lexington avenues, next to Rosen’s famed Seagram Building – will house 94 residential units with prices starting at $3.35 million. Sales are set to launch in the next few months.
The project is backed by Rosen’s RFR Holding and Houston-based developer Hines, according to architectural magazine Dezeen – though Chinese bank China Cinda paid $140.5 million for a majority stake in the development earlier this year. Chinese real estate firm China Vanke also bought a stake in 100 East 53rd Street last year.
The partners secured $360 million in financing earlier this year for the tower, which is scheduled to open in 2017. The project is targeting a total sellout of nearly $762 million, including a $55 million penthouse, according to a condo offering plan reviewed by The Real Deal earlier this year.
