Toby Moskovits’ Heritage Equity Partners and Lichtenstein Group are redeveloping five vacant Bushwick warehouses into office space that caters to “the job-generating tech and creative firms that are repowering Brooklyn‘s economy.”

The project at 215 Moore Street, dubbed “Bushwick Generator,” will span 75,000 square feet of light industrial, office and retail space geared toward tech, creative and food production tenants.

Heritage and frequent collaborator Lichtenstein began renovating and converting the properties earlier this year, with the interconnected buildings expected to come online over the next 9 to 12 months, a Heritage spokesperson told The Real Deal.

The developers have retained ABS Partners as the exclusive office leasing agent for Bushwick Generator, which is located one block from the Morgan Avenue stop on the L train. Heritage and Lichtenstein acquired the 2.3-acre site last year for $28.3 million, according to city property records.

At least one lease has been signed at the property thus far, Heritage confirmed — cloud-based mapping and visualization engine CartoDB, which is taking 7,500 square feet for its team of digital mapmakers.

Asking rents in the building housing the CartoDB space start at $50 per square foot, an ABS spokesperson told the New York Observer.

Moskovits is also developing another, larger “Generator” project in Brooklyn — a 400,000-square-foot office complex at 25 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg.  – Rey Mashayekhi
