Bernhardt Furniture, one of the largest family-owned furniture companies in the U.S., is moving its offices and showroom to NoMad, taking 20,000 square feet at 136 Madison Avenue.
The North Carolina-based firm signed a 10-year lease, with plans to occupy the entire third floor of the of the 17-floor, 150,000-square-foot building.
Asking rent at the space was $55 per square foot, according to CoStar.
Bernhardt will relocate from its current space at 58 West 40th Street when the new office is built out, the New York Post reported.
The building’s owner, according to property records, is Colliers International. Ed Wartels and Jim Pirot of Cresa New York represented Bernhardt. Michael Cohen and Andrew Roos of Colliers represented the company in-house in the transaction.
