Another Tisch family scion is scooping up property on 5th Avenue on the Upper East Side.
Daniel Tisch, grandson of late Loews Corporation owner Larry Tisch, and his wife Bonnie have snapped up an $8.13 million co-op at 980 Fifth Avenue, according to public records filed with the city Friday.
The three-bedroom home, which looks onto Central Park, was listed by Ellen Victor of Douglas Elliman. It was last on the market asking $8.75 million. The sellers were Michael Sitrick of Los Angeles-based public relations firm Sitrick and Company, and his wife Nancy.
Daniel won’t have to travel far to see family. His new home, on the corner of East 79th Street, isn’t far from cousin Jonathan’s triplex at 2 East 67th Street. The Loews Hotels chairman forked over $48 million in 2008 for The Apartment Off Fifth Avenue. And Laurie Tisch, Jonathan’s sister, owns a $29 million pad at 834 Fifth Avenue.
Daniel, the second of four sons of the billionaire former CBS owner, is not involved in the family business but rather runs his own investment company, TowerView, which is invested in several media companies.
