Two is better than one, especially if you have an extra $11 million to throw down.

Daniel Tisch, the grandson of late Loews Corporation owner Larry Tisch, purchased a second apartment at 980 Fifth Avenue for $11.5 million. The unit is adjacent to the 20th-floor co-op he and his wife, Bonnie, purchased earlier this month for $8.1 million. It isn’t clear if the Tisch family plans to combine the two units.

Fifth Avenue appears to be, at least at the moment, a favorite of the Tisch clan. His cousin and sister also own property nearby.

The seller was biographer and historian Laurence Bergreen and Martin Blackman, both trustees for the Morris and Adele Bergreen Foundation. Broker information for the sale wasn’t immediately available.

The two apartments are among 45 in the Upper East Side co-op. The 26-story property was built in 1966, on the site of an 1887 mansion, according to StreetEasy. Last year, Italian billionaire Pier Luigi Loro Piana bought a 19th-floor apartment in the building for $11.3 million.
