C’est la vie.

It turns out French chef Joël Robuchon won’t be bringing his Parisian cuisine back to New York City — at least not at 250 Vesey Street.

The space at the former 4 World Financial Center will instead be the future home to Saks Men’s Store, the retailer’s third location at Brookfield Place, the New York Post reported. The store is expected to open in 2017 and will span 16,750 square-feet, which includes Robuchon’s former space and an additional 4,000 square feet, according to the newspaper.

In 2014, Robuchon announced plans to bring his celebrated Atelier de Joël Robuchon to the second-floor space. It’s unclear why the deal didn’t go through and if Robuchon plans to move elsewhere in the city. The chef hasn’t had a restaurant in New York City since his location at The Four Seasons Hotel On East 57th Street closed. [NYP]Kathryn Brenzel
