Presidential contender Donald Trump may be making waves on the campaign trail, but apparently that hasn’t kept him from keeping his day job.
After nearly all of his campaign events, Trump hops on his private jet and flies back to Trump Tower to conduct the day-to-day business of his real estate business. He rarely sleeps anywhere but his own bed, according to the New York Post.
“He is totally in tune with everything that is going on here,” says one Trump executive. “Even the smallest things, like choosing the color of the carpets, the chandeliers, the sconces and the paint palettes in his buildings to the placement of the cup in one of his golf courses.”
Trump told the Post that his often controversial campaign has actually helped his business, “because of the excitement factor.”
He is currently working on residential towers in India. An anonymous Trump company executive told the Post that Trump calls from the campaign trail day and night, and that when he is in his office, there’s usually a line 10 or 12 people deep.
Trump “always works expeditiously,” the executive says. “But now, he expects to hear pitches within 20, 30 or 90 seconds instead of three minutes. The amount of time has been truncated, like ‘Shark Tank.’
Of course, he says he will give it all up to become president. [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
