“Think like a queen,” Oprah Winfrey once said. Media mogul Martha Debayle, often dubbed “the Oprah Winfrey of Mexico,” is doing just that — she purchased a $3.4 million apartment at the Manhattan House on the Upper East Side.
Debayle, a businesswoman and radio host, purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment at the landmarked condo building, the New York Post reported.
With custom crown molding throughout, the 1,676-square-foot condo at 200 East 66th Street also features a large living and dining room area, and a windowed chef’s kitchen with a wine cooler.
The Corcoran Group’s Cindy Bernat was Debayle’s broker.
Skidmore, Owings and Merrill designed the Manhattan House and it was built in 1952. The 20-story building was completely renovated and turned into high-end condos.
Condos range from $1.1 million to $12.5 million, according to Streeteasy.
Oprah, of course, recently spent $13.75 million on a mountain home in Telluride. [NYP] — Dusica Sue Malesevic
