British technology entrepreneur and investor Jos White and his wife Annabel listed their six-story, 4,700-square-feet townhouse in the West Village for $26 million.
The red-brick, 19th-century home at 26 Bank Street has four bedrooms, staff quarters, a garden, a roof deck and two terraces.
After selling his company MessageLabs to Symantec for around $700 million in 2008, the Whites bought the landmarked home for $7.3 million in 2009. They spent three years on extensive renovations and added touches such as a disco ball in the main bathroom and a green banquette that has an “All you need is love” neon sign above it.
The house’s design didn’t “take itself too seriously,” Annabel White told the Wall Street Journal.
