Few can say they made the leap from White House budget analyst to Food Network star, but Ina Garten can.

Now it seems the “Barefoot Contessa,” who lives in the East Hampton, was recently scoping out a $5.3 million condominium at the Philip House for a city pied-a-terre.

The cookbook author saw a four bedroom and four bathroom unit, which is 2,615 square feet, at 141 East 88th Street, the New York Post reported.

After leaving the government in the late 1970s, Garten opened a gourmet food shop in Westhampton Beach, New York and eventually moved it to East Hampton. Her show “Barefoot Contessa” started airing on the Food Network in November 2002.

Stribling Marketing Associates handles sales for the 12-story, 69-unit prewar building.

In 2011, the Cheshire Group acquired the Philip House from Rhinelander Real Estate Company for about $106 million, and then converted the building into condos. [NYP]Dusica Sue Malesevic
