L train riders: It’s time to start preparing. Though it’s still up in the air as to whether it will be a full or partial shutdown, the much-feared Canarsie line closure is slated to begin in 2019, according to MTA documents. But while hipsters despair over the loss of convenience, business owners may have graver concerns. We spoke to some local commercial and retail brokers to see what could be in store for those with storefronts and offices in the area, and the responses weren’t optimistic. “For the most part, it’s going to be somewhat similar to when the bow of the Titanic met the iceberg,” said Tim King of CPEX Real Estate.
