It’s Passover, so what better time to upgrade to a synagogue? This historic East Village synagogue known as the 8th Street Shul has returned to the market for $30,000 a month.

Before the synagogue, located at 317 East 8th Street, turned into a residence, there was a long battle to preserved the building as a synagogue. However in 1982, it was damaged by a fire and eventually turned over to real estate interests, according to 6sqft.

It was converted into a luxury single-family home. But it has mostly stayed on the rental market. The last time it was being offered it was asking asking $25,000 a month.

The conversion — done by the designers behind the Ian Schrager Hotels — reconfigured the building into a four-story townhouse, with three bedrooms and three outdoor terraces.

The living room features 22-foot ceilings and walls of exposed brick and wood, designed for displaying artwork. The cantilever balcony even has “a built-in projector for showcasing art,” according to 6sqft.

Outside, the house features an eight-person hot tub right off the master suite. It comes completely furnished.
