Cushman & Wakefield hired CBRE’s Glenn Isaacson, the latest example of the commercial brokerage snatching top talent from rival firms.
Isaacson, a former CBRE executive vice president who had been with the company since 1992, started in his role as vice chair at Cushman on Monday.
Having leased more than 11 million square feet of commercial space in more than 30 years as a broker, Isaacson “represents the type of leader Cushman & Wakefield aims to attract,” said Ron Lo Russo, president of Cushman’s New York Tri-State region, in a statement to the Commercial Observer.
He also “fits nicely with our deep bench of brokerage professionals,” Lo Russo added, with Cushman having also recently hired Mark Weiss from Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in January.
The brokerage also poached former JLL broker Sean Black last summer, though Black has since left Cushman to become a vice president at WeWork, and hired Diana Boutross away from Winick Realty Group in December.
Cushman’s recent push to attract rival talent has largely come in the wake of its $2 billion mega-merger with DTZ, which closed last September. [CO] – Rey Mashayekhi
