The big banks love Hillary Clinton. And now it seems the small banks might, too.
Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh will set up shop at Forest City Ratner’s 1 Pierrepont Plaza in Brooklyn Heights, which is home to the Democratic presidential front-runner’s campaign headquarters.
The Brooklyn-based bank signed a 10-year deal to take 42,000 square feet at the tower, the New York Post reported. Asking rent for the space was about $50 per square foot.
Clinton’s campaign occupies 80,000 square feet at the property. The bank’s neighbors will also include Cushman & Wakefield, which took 15,000 square feet at 1 Pierrepont in March. Morgan Stanley also has a large footprint at the building, but has been shrinking its presence there as it moves some employees to lower-cost locations. [NYP] — Ariel Stulberg
