From the June issue: LaGuardia Airport, which last year saw nearly 30 million travelers, is one of the most derided transportation hubs. It’s been compared to a Third World country, criticized for its outdated facilities and relatively puny size. So when Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a $4 billion redesign last summer, it was considered one of the most important public infrastructure projects in the country.
