From the outside it seems like the perfect goth squat, but inside this converted church in the U.K. is especially cozy. Which is good, since it is on the market for $466,000.
Located in Faversham, an historic maritime market in Kent, this small chapel is known as the “tin church” by locals, because it is a late-1800s prefabricated building made of a softwood frame and corrugated iron cladding, according to Curbed.
It was deconsecrated in 1952 and taken over by English designer Nick Kenny, who specializes in building unusual kitchens and bathrooms using reclaimed materials. Kenny played off the chapel’s gothic-style arched windows, pine boarding and spiral staircase with “found” fixtures and furnishings.
