Well, it’s about time.
The triplex penthouse in the Clocktower Building at 1 Main Street is in contract for $18 million, Curbed reported. The 7,000-square-foot apartment has languished on the market for a five-and-a-half years.
The years haven’t exactly been kind to the Brooklyn home, which has undergone price chops and broker swaps. The home was initially listed for $25 million in 2010. The Corcoran Group now handles the listing.
The home’s ceilings range from 16 to 50 feet high. The penthouse also features 5-inch-wide white oak plank floors, a glass-enclosed three-story private elevator and a wraparound stairway. The bathrooms have radiant-heated stone floors.
It was not immediately clear who finally took the penthouse off the owner’s hands. [Curbed] — Kathryn Brenzel
